Christian L. Söhner
… a passionate insurance lawyer in Switzerland. He studied law at the University Fribourg of focus on insurance and reinsurance law, as well as on criminology.
For more than 30 years Christian has been active as a lawyer specialized in insurance and reinsurance law. There he served in the field of claims and run-off management, coverage disputes, corporate law, arbitration and litigation. In his functions as Head of Legal and Compliance he was in close collaboration with various regulators (DIFC/DFSA in Dubai, FINMA in Switzerland and CAA in Luxembourg).
Christian was a legal counsel at Swiss Re, senior legal counsel and director at Zurich Financial Services and Converium. At TransRe he acted as a member of the executive team (Legal, Compliance and HR) as well as a Member of the Board of TransRe Europe Services Ltd.
